With 5 months of covid, we missed spring completely and summer is in fully masked swing! Some interesting benefits have come from this social distancing. Even Grandma knows how to Zoom now, so face-to-face virtual visits with the grandkids makes for some great bonding time!
And I must say that this whole outdoor restaurant thing gives the Island an amazing tourist-y feel! Wow! I love seeing all the outdoor tables. It feels like vacation somewhere beachy and fun. Well… makes sense… after all, Long Island is fully lined with beaches and if you take a long drive out to Montauk for the day, you’ll feel like you’ve been on vacation, and that certainly is fun! I actually just saw the lighthouse for the first time! It was jaw-dropping! Pack up the kids, or take a spontaneous day for a date with your sweetie, and check it out! Wow!
Long Island is truly a beautiful place. We’re blessed with so many spots to sit and just soak in the beauty. It moves me to the core. My heart swells and my Soul sings as I take a moment to stroll through a lovely park early in the morning, with it’s woodsy fragrance and a chorus of sweet birdsong… or sitting on a gorgeous beach late in the day watching the water turn shades of tropical blue-green as the sun slowly settles down in the sky behind. I cannot help the tears of awe that run down my face in appreciation of this amazing place we call home! Blessed!

Are you taking proper care of yourself? I don’t mean just protecting you and your family from covid…
Most women don’t take the time to celebrate themselves. It’s so important to treat yourself right. We do so much for others – but how much do we do for ourselves? Isn’t it time you recognize and appreciate yourself for the beautiful being you are, inside and out?
What do you do to treat yourself right? No time for a daily bubble bath? Can you carve out 15 minutes of meditation to relax and center yourself – even if you have to go out to the car (and blast the A/C!) to do it?
Do you really need an excuse to celebrate you – with all that you do for your family, your boss, your friends… etc.? Honor YOURSELF on your birthday or ANY day, with gorgeous images that capture the radiance you are! Remember YOU! You are beautiful, inside and out! Let your beauty shine through in amazing images for you to treasure for a lifetime!
Mom is usually the one behind the cell camera. One day, your children will look for photos of you. What will they find? Be seen in photos!
Covid update…Outdoor sessions are in full swing! Beach, Park, and Backyard photoshoots all allow for social distancing! Time to let your smiles shine! (Oh, that’s just me behind the mask! LOL!)
HAPPY HOLIDAYS! HUH???
I know it’s early to be thinking about your holiday card portraits, but we don’t know how long it will be until studio sessions can resume. Putting it off until the fall or winter might mean no holiday shots if you wait for the studio. Sure, October is beautiful with the fall colors – if you can time it out to schedule during that one week of pique color, when everyone else is clamoring for that date too! November is barren and cold and it gets dark very early, so there’s virtually never an outdoor sessions requested then and the same for December unless its a rare December snow that happens to blow in on session day. So give those holiday portraits a thought and consider getting them done now and not having to worry about scrambling or making-do later!
